Outdoor Programs

The Fitness Edge promotes outdoor programs and events to keep you motivated year round.

Hiking Troop:

Join other outdoor enthusiasts from the club who enjoy the beautiful surroundings of New Hampshire’s higher side and be amazed by yourincreased health and wellness. Hikes occur year round, so whether you want to earn your badge by completing all 48 peaks over 4,000 feet or prefer smaller conquests like full moon hikes up Rattle Snake or a trail run through Chamberlin Reynolds, join us! Hikers of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to “meet up” and hit the trail. Simply visit http://www.meetup.com/Hike-with-AMC-NH/ to learn about the Appalachian Mountain Club’s next excursion. Not ready for the AMC? You can find a variety of other outdoor adventure clubs on http://www.meetup.com/ or visit our front desk and find out who else might be interested in a hill climb.

Summer Challenges:

These are obstacle course races that replicate modern day boot camps. They test your limits of strength, agility, cardio vascular health and mental toughness. If your idea of fun is crawling through mud, swinging from ropes, balancing on logs all while running a 10K, commit to a Tough Mudder, Spartan Race or Warrior Dash today.

To learn more about upcoming events in our area or to preview the types of challenges you will overcome both physically and mentally during your race visit: Tough Mudder or Spartan Race.

Train with us! Our club features one of the only Spartan Beast certified trainers in the area. A number of our fitness instructors, personal trainers and members compete in these races every year. Click here to learn more about our Challenge Training Program and class schedule.
