           What is the difference between signing up for a cycle class with an instructors name and the “outdoor only” cycle class that has 6 spots and no instructors name? 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We set up the cycle classes so that 12 people are guaranteed bikes inside in case of inclement weather.  The sign up for this is under the instructors’ name.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If the class with the instructors name is full or you only want to participate outside, please sign up for the outside only class.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           We have decided to run all our classes through Zoom only for a bit.  We want to make sure all our members stay healthy through the holiday season and this seems like the best choice.  The situation may change but we will keep you updated if changes do happen!

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Most of you have seen Beth Doda as she welcomes you as you enter, or comes around with the glass cleaner to clean. Did you know that Beth is the mother of three amazing children? Her children are all active in school activities and play in various school sports. While her children are playing sports, Beth is busy coaching and volunteering her time with the football boosters. The next time you see Beth ask her how her volleyball team or basketball team are doing.

           4.     Please welcome our newest instructor Tammy Licki. Tammy is an experienced instructor who has recently relocated from Connecticut. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic instructor joining our team! She will be teaching many Saturday morning Cardio Strength classes. Please feel free to say hi and introduce yourself.

The Federal Trade Communications Commissions has adopted 988 as a new three-digit number to be used nationwide in order to reach the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline. This is very similar to how we currently use 911.

           Thank you all for your loyal support! As we transition to a post-COVID world, there are a few changes coming that we wanted to share. As you know, the pandemic required us all to adapt and modify quickly to maintain some sense of "normal". The Fitness Edge staff did an outstanding job implementing Zoom classes, to ensure that we offered our members a gym experience during this unprecedented time. Zoom was always meant to be a temporary solution, as there are many challenges teaching with this modality, especially once members began returning in-person:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            New Web Application- 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            this process will begin for classes on this Monday, May 24.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Safety First - Instructors have a responsibility to ensure members' safety. It is extremely difficult for them to monitor form, respond to questions and scan for health concerns via Zoom (especially with in-person participation).
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Set-Up and Logistical Disruptions - Setting up for a Zoom class takes a great deal of time and technical adjustments. While these measures were required during COVID stay-at-home orders and prior to vaccination, they increase the time needed to get ready for a class, class transition and scheduling. Additionally, it consumes the instructors, limiting their time to properly prep for each class.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Class Quality - Teaching modifications and class design require significant modifications for Zoom. Instructors made every effort to consider home limitations when this was our only option. However, now that the gym is open for in-person classes, members expect a more robust and creative class experience, which cannot be achieved safely via Zoom
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Pre-Recorded Classes - For those members that still may have health concerns or enjoy the convenience of working out at home, and variety of pre-recorded classes will be available for a nominal $10/month fee.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As always, the Fitness Edge staff is committed to serving you and providing members the best gym experience possible. Just as we were nimble in transitioning to a COVID environment, we are working hard to transition again. While you may still have some concerns, we want to assure you that we are committed to providing all our members an excellent gym experience. Some things to consider:

           We are ready for members to create their accounts and start playing around with the web application. The email we have under your name, in our computer system, will allow you to create the account. If you and another family member share the same email in our system you need to set up emails for each of you. You will each need individual accounts.

           Hello Fitness Edge Members,

           We love that we are seeing more of you in person at the gym.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           We have been busy working on a new web application that will enhance our ability to communicate with our members and improve our process to sign up for classes.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           In order to use the new web application The Fitness Edge needs to have your email on file. This will allow you to use it to create an account. The news section of our website will soon have more information and step by step instructions to help get you set up.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Benefits of the web application include:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           *Signing up for classes and seeing immediately is there is a space available for you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           *The ability to print your usage of the gym (often needed for insurance reasons).
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           *The ability to scan your key tag via your phone (no contact).
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you do not have internet access or are not comfortable using the new web application, we will be happy to sign you up for your classes at the front desk.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

            Registration for classes will continue as it has been for the last year. Email

           Sometime in May we will be moving the majority of our classes outside. Working out in the fresh air makes it even better!

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           We soon will have the ability to do email blasts. Be on the lookout for emails from The Fitness Edge. We promise not to clutter your inbox with unnecessary information. We need your email in order to do this-another reason to make sure we have your current email in our system. We plan on sending newsletters, class updates, gym specials and promotions. Your email will NOT be shared.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           We will continue to make The Fitness Edge the place you want to be. The Fitness Edge continues to offer the most classes in the greatest variety of any gym in the Lakes Region. For now a majority of classes are offered in person and via Zoom.

           Tina moved to Sanbornton from Henniker NH, with her husband, about 4 years ago. They moved with a brand new puppy and a pair of tuxedo cats who spent the first week hiding behind the toilet of their new house (they definitely didn’t like change). Since then they have added two more fur baby troublemakers, lovingly known as Wacka and Lucibert (not their real names). In their free time Tina and her husband love to hit the trails on their matching His and Hers Kawasaki dirt bikes or on four wheelers with friends.  They enjoy spending time in their yard on the motorized mayhem makers or honing in their target practice skills whether it be bb gun, archery or axe throwing. Say hi to Tina as you enter the gym. You will see her greeting members at the front desk.

     - The Fitness Edge in Meredith is always looking for fun and energetic personal trainers and certified group fitness instructors.  Our club offers nearly 40 Group Classes per week, and our members thrive on variety, enjoying all styles of fitness instruction from meditation to high intensity interval training.
